Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduit dans la race il y a une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es. C\u2019est un g\u00e8ne li\u00e9 au sexe issu de l\u2019Orpington (naine). Le coloris obtenu est appel\u00e9 chocolat, on entend aussi parler de Carefoot. Les parures du coq seront plus fonc\u00e9es.&nbsp;<br>Mais il n\u2019agit pas que sur le plumage. Il \u00e9claircit \u00e9galement tous les tissus du sujet. La peau, les tarses, les yeux, le bec et les ornements seront donc aussi de couleur \u00ab&nbsp;marron\/brun\u00bb.<br>Un des gros soucis du chocolat est qu\u2019il est tr\u00e8s sensible \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re. Le plumage s\u2019\u00e9claircit avec l\u2019exposition au soleil pour devenir pratiquement beige en fin de plumage, juste avant la mue. Avec la mue, le plumage \u00ab&nbsp;tout neuf&nbsp;\u00bb devient \u00e0 nouveau chocolat fonc\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce g\u00e8ne chocolat li\u00e9 au sexe donne les r\u00e9sultats suivants&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-neve-link-color-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b4e9397fe50cf81ec650b09627dc29d5\">Le coq<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>H\u00e9t\u00e9rozygote (choc\/-)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;choc&nbsp;\u00bb est pr\u00e9sent sur un seul all\u00e8le, ou en \u00ab&nbsp;simple dose&nbsp;\u00bb.&nbsp; Un coq h\u00e9t\u00e9rozygote sur le g\u00e8ne \u00ab&nbsp;choc&nbsp;\u00bb&nbsp; est noir porteur du g\u00e8ne chocolat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Homozygote (choc\/choc)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;choc&nbsp;\u00bb est pr\u00e9sent sur les deux all\u00e8les, ou en \u00ab&nbsp;double dose&nbsp;\u00bb. Le coq homozygote sur le g\u00e8ne \u00ab&nbsp;choc&nbsp;\u00bb est de couleur chocolat. Dans la couleur chocolat, le coq prend une tr\u00e8s grande importance.&nbsp; <br>S\u2019il est homozygote, donc de couleur chocolat&nbsp; (choc\/choc), le g\u00e8ne \u00ab&nbsp;choc&nbsp;\u00bb pr\u00e9sent sur les deux all\u00e8les est obligatoirement transmis aux poussins. On obtient 100% de poussins chocolat ou porteurs du g\u00e8ne chocolat. S&rsquo;il est h\u00e9t\u00e9rozygote (choc\/-), donc noir porteur chocolat. Le r\u00e9sultat d\u00e9pend du fait que la poule soit chocolat ou non.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-neve-link-color-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a80211f459894b691f1132c0da81ff74\">La poule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Concernant la poule, si elle poss\u00e8de le g\u00e8ne chocolat, c&rsquo;est en simple dose et elle est de couleur chocolat. Ils peuvent parfois avoir des taches blanches, principalement au niveau de la t\u00eate et de la poitrine.
